Ho Chi Minh city Party chief receives John Kerry
(VOVWORLD) -Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan extended the greetings of the 10 million city dwellers and Vietnamese people to former US Secretary of State John Kerry.

At a reception for Kerry in Hanoi on Wednesday, Mr. Nhan, who is also President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, expressed his hope that the former Secretary of State, with his experience and prestige, will continue to contribute to the relations between Vietnam and the US.
He said that the Vietnamese government is improving the investment environment and fighting corruption, noting that Ho Chi Minh City aims to soon finalize a plan on one-stop mechanism. He called for the US’s assistance to turn the city into a financial hub.
The former Secretary of State expressed readiness to assist Ho Chi Minh City in attracting foreign investment and to cooperate to build a smart city.
