Ho Chi Minh City plans to welcome foreign travelers from December
(VOVWORLD) - The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism has developed a draft scheme to welcome international tourists with vaccine passports from next month, one month earlier than previously expected. The scheme will be divided into three phases.
In the first phase starting from December 2021, HCM city will receive foreign tourists under package travel programs designed for selected areas and tourism service establishments.
In the second phase from next January, all qualified tour operators will be allowed to serve international tourists. During this period, foreign travelers coming under the same requirements as in phase 1 will be allowed to visit other designated localities: Kien Giang province, Da Nang city, Khanh Hoa province, Quang Ninh province, and Quang Nam province.
The third phase will see the full reopening of international tourism. The beginning of this phase depends on the development of the COVID-19 pandemic and results of the first two phases.
