Ho Chi Minh City River Festival to make a splash
(VOVWORLD) - The Ho Chi Minh City River Festival 2024 will take place from May 31 to June 10, at Nha Rong-Khanh Hoi Wharf, Saigon Cruise Port, and other tourist venues, featuring a wide range of culture, cuisine, and entertainment activities.

At a press briefing on Wednesday, Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, Director of the municipal Tourism Department, said this year’s River Festival will be bigger than the first one, and is expected make Ho Chi Minh City a very popular destination. An art show called ‘Legendary Voyage’, the highlight of the festival, will tell the story of historic trains associated with the city.

There will be more water sports at this year’s festival – an open river swimming championship, a Stand Up Paddleboard championship, as well as jet skis, sailboats, and paragliding.
During the 10 days, wharves and boats will recreate the region’s floating markets, displaying local fruits and folk arts performances. Promotional programs and tour discounts will be plentiful.
