Representatives from the Government Commission for Religious Affairs, the Ministry of Home Affairs, Military Zone 9, and An Giang province congratulated dignitaries, monks, and nuns of Haa Hao Buddhism on the occasion of the 73^rd anniversary of the sect’s founding.  At separate meetings, the delegations’ representatives wished Hoa Hao dignitaries and followers good health and praised the encouragement of followers to abide by Party and Government guidelines and laws. The Hoa Hao sect has worked closely with local authorities and other religious groups in the region to boost social welfare and assist poor households.
