House of Commons passes Brexit bill
(VOVWORLD) - Britain's House of Commons has passed a Brexit bill — finally paving the way for the UK's January 31 departure from the European Union after years of political deadlock.

The vote in the House of Commons is not quite the final parliamentary moment of Britain’s extraordinary Brexit story as the bill will be considered next by the House of Lords. Even if the Lords amend the bill, Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his Conservative Party now have a large majority in the Commons and could overturn any changes if necessary.
