(VOVworld) – The 2014 Hue Festival closed on Sunday after 9 days of festivities. This event attracted more than 2.4 million people, including 100,000 foreign tourists from 115 countries and territories.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Ngo Hoa, Vice Chairman of the Thua Thien Hue provincial People’s Committee, said this year’s festival has been a success. Hoa said: “All the performances are to promote traditional cultural values and a spirit of friendship, integration, and development. They have brought to Hue a new look as Vietnam’s Festival City”.
