(VOVworld) – The 8th Hue Festival, themed “Cultural Heritage with Integration and Development”, will kick off at Ngo Mon (Noon Gate) in Hue city on Saturday. This will be Hue’s largest festival ever with the participation of 66 domestic and international art troupes.
Placed in front of the Noon Gate on a 1000 meter square area, the main stage will be purple and decorated with stylized patterns of Hue royal palace.
People’s Artist Le Ngoc Cuong, general director of the opening ceremony’s art program, said the event will be the combination of traditional values and contemporary art, featuring the life of Hue, other provinces in Vietnam, and nations worldwide. Cuong said:
"I try to make the program unique and different from others. I think we have an advantage with Hue because it has a lot of potentials as a land of cultural heritages and this would help us to realize our creative art ideas."
