(VOVworld) - Hue traditional craft festival is due to take place in central Thua Thien - Hue province from April 29 – May 3, 2015.

Nguyen Van Thanh, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, told a press conference on Friday that the biennial event, themed “The quintessence of Vietnamese crafts”, will showcase the art and distinctive characteristics of handicrafts in Hue such as jewel making, pottery, engraving, while promoting Hue cuisines and craft village tours.
The festival will have a workshop on Hue’s imprints and Vietnam’s identities in craft products and a photo exhibition featuring the cultural values of ASEAN countries. The event is expected to join other activities to promote the provincial economy, especially the tourism sector.
