(VOVworld) – Hungary’s Consulate General opened in HCM city on Wednesday.

In his address, visiting Hungarian Minister of External Economy and Foreign Affairs Peter Szijjarto said the Hungarian government is implementing tis look-east policy and wants to establish strategic partnership with Southeast Asian countries. He said that Hungary wants the Vietnam-Hungary relationship to be the pillar in EU-ASEAN relations. Hungary values HCM city’s development achievements and considers HCM city an economic, financial, and technological center in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. Therefore, he said, the opening of the Hungarian Consulate General there is essential, adding that it will help Hungarian businesses promote trade ties between the two countries.
