(VOVWORLD) - The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on Friday adopted a resolution urging North Korea to stop its nuclear development program.

The resolution stated that North Korea must not be a nuclear weapon possessing state. Meanwhile, ambassadors from Canada, Japan, and the US urged North Korea to abide by UN Security Council resolutions and the obligations set forth by the IAEA and return to the Six Party Talks, which was designed to end North Korea’s nuclear program through negotiations.
