Individuals and groups with significant contributions to the city’s ICT sector were also honored at the event. Politburo member and Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City’s Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan spoke at the ceremony: "We need more ICT businesses whose employees should account for more than 5% of the city’s workforce to encourage the ICT sector’s development. The award is expected to call for more ICT contribution to human resource development in the future."
