Mr. Tuan said: “The implementation of audit conclusions has been given much attention, especially after the National Assembly exercised supreme oversight on the implementation of guidelines and policies related to thrift and waste prevention. However, according to statistics, more than 2.6 billion USD worth of audit conclusions still have not been implemented. We’ll continue to monitor, inspect, and urge faster, more effective implementation of the audit conclusions.”
Mr. Tuan talked about fighting corruption in the audit sector: “This is a great concern of the audit sector. We have always disseminated the Party’s latest guidelines and the State’s newest documents on preventing corruption and negative activities. We have also reviewed and institutionalized the Party’s newest guidelines and legal documents. In 2022, 75 documents related to the audit process and preventing corruption and negativity were reviewed. It is essential to strengthen the role of the auditing and inspecting team leaders, promote inspections and oversight, and deal firmly with any acts of corruption or negativity.”
Mr. Tuan answered questions about the role of the audit sector in detecting violations, making recommendations to increase revenue and reduce expenditures, reducing losses in public finance, and proposing adjustments to policies and laws to prevent loss and waste.
