(VOVWORLD) - The 13th round of talks between Indian and Chinese military commanders on Sunday ended with no solutions to the border conflict in Eastern Ladakh.

At the meeting, which took place on the Chinese side of the Line of Actual Control (LAC), the Chinese army didn’t agree with India’s suggestion to withdraw its troops from conflicted areas. Indian press agency ANI reported an Indian army statement that China failed to provide any forward-looking proposals.
There are at least 3 friction points in Eastern Ladakh where the two countries need to reach an agreement on withdrawing troops and restore the previous status. India said the conflict along the LAC was caused by China’s unilateral violations of bilateral agreements.
China said that India insisted on unreasonable and unrealistic demands, adding difficulty to the negotiations.
