The pair had to leave India within 24 hours and Pakistan's Charge d’Affaires received a strong protest over the alleged activities of the officials.
In a statement, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister said the two staff members were expelled by Indian authorities on false and unsubstantiated charges.
Pakistan summoned an Indian diplomat to lodge a protest of the move.
