India funds water management projects in Vietnam’s Mekong Delta
(VOVWORLD) - The Indian government will fund seven water resource management projects worth 350,000 USD in the Mekong Delta provinces of Ben Tre, Hau Giang, Kien Giang, and Tien Giang.

Memorandums of Understanding were signed by the Indian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday. These projects are among 26 quick-impact projects funded by India in 22 Vietnamese localities, 13 of which have already been completed.
At the signing ceremony, Indian Ambassador Pranay Verma said development cooperation is a pillar of the India-Vietnam comprehensive strategic partnership. Their fine traditional relationship has been a successful model of institutional support and capacity improvement in various fields over years, which has benefited top research centers, including the Mekong Delta Rice Research Institute.
