The new entrants to Modi's Cabinet were administered the oath of office by Indian President Pranab Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhavan, his official residence in the heart of the capital.
Of the 21 new Ministers, four are full cabinet ministers and the rest are junior ministers, some with independent charge. The four cabinet ministers include Manohar Parrikar, the former Chief Minister of the western Indian state of Goa, who is likely to become the new Defense Minister.
With the cabinet expansion, the total number of ministers in Modi's cabinet currently stands at 66.
