This is part of a bilateral development support initiative organized by the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A ceremony to launch the project was held in Vinh Yen city on Tuesday and attended by Vinh Phuc provincial officials, the Indian Ambassador to Vietnam, and representatives of the Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayara Samiti (BMVSS) organization. The Lac Viet Friendship Hospital will monitor the patients after they are fitted artificial limbs.
Vietnam is the first country to implement the Jaipur project. The BMVSS team will set up the Jaipur Foot Artificial Limb Fitment Camp in Phu Tho province after completing its work in Vinh Phuc.
