(VOVworld) – India’s Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar will travel to Singapore next month for the Shangri-La Dialogue and pay a 2-day visit to Vietnam to deepen military ties. Parrikar is expected to leave for Singapore on June 3 to attend the inter-governmental security forum on June 4, India’s defense ministry sources said on Tuesday. The Shangri-La Dialogue will focus on maritime freedom and Asia-Pacific security.

Parrikar will then travel onto Vietnam. Last year, India and Vietnam decided to enhance bilateral defense cooperation and signed a joint statement towards a five-year vision.
