Indonesian Trade Minister Agus Suparmanto said ratifying RCEP would provide hope for regional and global economic recovery following the COVID-19 pandemic.
Indonesia and other RCEP members promised to sign the agreement this year at an online meeting attended by 15 Asia-Pacific ministers, including ministers of Australia, China, Japan, Korea, and New Zealand. The agreement will create the world’s biggest economic bloc, accounting for 30% of global GDP.
