International community concerned about unrest in Bangladesh
(VOVWORLD) - After Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned and left Bangladesh on Monday, her residence in the capital Dhaka was ransacked by rioters. Arson and looting occurred across the country.

China’s foreign ministry said Tuesday that China is closely following developments in Bangladesh. As a friendly neighbor and comprehensive strategic partner of Bangladesh, China sincerely hopes that social stability will soon be restored in Bangladesh.
The US State Department announced Tuesday that Washington has ordered the evacuation of non-emergency government employees and their families from Bangladesh. As of July 20, the US State Department has raised its travel advisory for Bangladesh to “Level 4 – Do Not Travel”.
EU ambassador to Bangladesh Charles Whiteley posted on social media platform X that he is very concerned about reports of attacks against places of worship and members of religious, ethnic and other minorities in Bangladesh.
