The Workers World Party in the US said on their website on Thursday that Vietnam, despite having limited resources, is a successful role model in controlling the epidemic, with just 250 infections in a population of nearly 100 million people.

An article printed by Project Syndicate, a top world news site based in the Czech Republic, said Vietnam’s success provides a model for other countries to follow. It lauded Vietnam for its border control, medical response, application of technology, and success in getting its population to practice good hygiene. The article called Vietnam’s antivirus actions economical and effective, achieving a smaller number of infections than more developed countries, despite having a shared border and large trade volume with China.
