International Women's Day 2021: online gifts preferred
(VOVWORLD) -As the COVID-19 pandemic prevention measures are in place, many Vietnamese have opted for online gift buying instead of shopping at physical shops and malls on International Women’s Day this year.
Easy selection of suitable gifts and convenient and fast payment method, online gift purchase is attracting consumers.
Dinh The Long, Sales Manager of DHC Cosmetics Vietnam, said customers are switching to online shopping.
“In my opinion, online shopping is developing as customers are provided with detailed information about products. Its’ convenient that customers don't have to come to the showroom,” said Long.
On International Women’s Day on March 8, fresh flowers and popular gift items serve to attract hordes of customers in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city.
The price of flowers in Ho Chi Minh City remains stable, with velvet roses being sold at VND30,000 (1.3 USD) each, chrysanthemums at VND35,000 (1.5 USD) per branch, tulips at VND70,000 (3 USD) each, and imported peony flowers on sale at VND150,000 (6.5 USD).
A popular set of gifts is priced at between VND150,000 (6.5 USD) and VND400,000 (17.3 USD). Typically, a basic gift box includes dry hand sanitizer, organic soap, a greeting card, a decorative bow, and a silk flower at a cost of only VND170,000 (7.3 USD), with customers able to purchase them online through websites or at gift shops.
