IPEF should be based on open, inclusive, transparent principles: spokesperson

Ms Hang said: “During the discussion, Vietnam joined ASEAN and relating countries to discuss and clarify the IPEF content, focusing on trade; supply chain; clean energy, de-carbonization and infrastructure; tax and anti-corruption to generate a practical agenda with feasible outcomes for regional countries towards benefit for the people while serving peace, stability, cooperation, development and prosperity for the region and the world.”
She reiterated Vietnam’s view of IPEF as being based on open, inclusive, and transparent principle in respect for international law and the central role of the ASEAN plus existing economic connectivity with Vietnam’s participation
Hang said: “With the view of building up an independent, self-determined economy linked with active, practical and efficient international integration, Vietnam has joined various initiatives in international economic connectivity to leverage internal and external resources for national construction and development.”
