The self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS) claimed responsibility for the two suicide bombings that targeted an event commemorating the 4th anniversary of the death of General Qassem Soleimani in Kerman on Wednesday. The bombings resulted in 91 fatalities and 270 injuries. This attack has further complicated the security situation in the Middle East created by the conflict in the Gaza Strip, which shows no signs of abating.
