Iran condemns US court ruling over 9/11 attacks
(VOVWORLD) - Iran has condemned a US court judgement requiring the country to pay compensations to victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks.
Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi |
In a statement on Sunday, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi forwarded Iran’s strong protests against judgments based on unfounded accusations already raised in the past.
Qasemi added that the designers of these actions are trying to distort the facts, divert the paths of the lawsuits, and re-write history.
A judge in the US has issued a default judgement requiring Iran to pay more than 6 billion USD to victims of the 9/11.
