(VOVworld) – Iran’s landmark nuclear deal will help ease political tensions in a volatile region and bring an end to crisis, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said in a televised speech on Sunday.

Under the nuclear deal reached last month between Iran and the P5+1 group, Iran will narrow its uranium enrichment program and allow inspection of its nuclear facilities. In exchange, the US, the European Union and the United Nations agreed to lift economic sanctions on Iran. The US Congress and the Iranian Parliament will vote to approve the nuclear deal within the next few months.
