(VOVworld) – Iran will continue its support for Iraq in the fight against terrorism, said Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani on Wednesday.

He told a joint press conference in Teheran with Iraq’s Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi that the security of the two countries is interdependent and that the stability, security, and peace in Iraq and other neighbouring countries will create progress and development in the region.
Al-Abadi said Iran’s support will help defeat the Islamic State in Iraq and the Middle East and called for enhancing economic and cultural ties with Iran.
