Iran ready to negotiate if US lifts sanctions
(VOVWORLD) - Iran is ready to hold talks with the United States if Washington lifts sanctions and returns to the 2015 nuclear deal it quit last year, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said in a televised speech on Sunday.

Rouhani insisted that Tehran can confront the stiff sanctions imposed by Washington over the past months, adding that US pressure on Iran is worthless.
Rouhani’s speech came as confrontations between Washington and Tehran have escalated, culminating in an aborted plan for US air strikes on Iran last month after Tehran downed a US drone.
Iran has broken the terms of its nuclear deal for a second time by announcing plans to enrich uranium beyond the levels allowed under the terms of the 2015 agreement. It has started uranium enrichment above the limit of 3.67%.
