(VOVworld) - President Hassan Rouhani has stressed that Iran is ready for consultations with friendly countries in the region, including Qatar, to strengthen stability and security in the region. In a phone conversation with Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, President Rouhani called on Qatar to join hands to prevent terrorist and extremist groups and to double effort in easing tensions and maintaining stability in the Middle East. He stressed that the newly reached nuclear deal showed regional issues as well as conflicts between countries can all be settled through diplomacy. The same day, in another phone conversation with his Pakistani counterpart, Rouhani called on Pakistan to boost the deep and friendly bilateral ties of the two countries in all fields to increase the two way trade turnover to more than 5 billion USD. He also emphasized the necessity of regular consultations between the two countries on regional issues.
