Iran’s President presents new cabinet
Iranian President Hassan Rowhani announced a new cabinet line up immediately after he was sworn in as Iran’s president on Sunday. According the law, the new president has 2 weeks to nominate a list of cabinet members. Rowhani’s move was to realize his commitments intended tp rescue Iran’s exhausted economy, affected by the West’s embargoes due to Iran’s controversial nuclear program, and to commit towards constructive dialogues with the international community. Iran’s Parliament has 10 days to consider the nomination, but Iranian media says parliamentarians are ready to cast their ballots within one week or less to fix the list. Rowhani’s nominated list of new cabinet members includes Mohammad Javad Zarif, a diplomatic veteran, and former Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh.
