The marathon is part of Iron Run project held by students from high schools in Hanoi to change people’s viewpoint on people with disablities as well as help them integrate into the society. Nguyen Doan Diem Hang, Head of the Iron Run 2018’s Organizing Board, said: “Running a marathon is just part of Iron Run project. The program also includes exchanges and physical games involving people with disabilities and young people.  Earlier, young participants sold cakes and drinks made by disabled people to raise fund. Through this program, we expect to raise around 500 USD and send it to “Vi ngay mai” (For the Future), a charitable vocational training center for disabled youths. The money is not much, but we hope the program will help young people have an open viewpoint and connect the disabled with the community”.
