(VOVworld) – Rida Issa, a spokesman for the Lybian unity government’s forces, said that the Islamic State carried out three suicide car bombings in Sirte on Sunday targeting forces allied with Lybia’s unity government.

He said several were wounded in the IS attack without providing further details. The pro-government forces are conducting a military campaign against the IS to retake the coastal city of Sirte, 450km east of Tripoli, which was captured by IS militants last year.
