IS claimed bomb attacks in Southern Iraq
(VOVworld) - Two suicide car bombs claimed by Islamic State killed at least 33 people and wounded 75 others in southern Iraq on Sunday. Islamic State said it had attacked a gathering of special forces in Samawa with one car bomb and then blew up the second when security forces responded to the site.

Meanwhile, the French Defense Ministry said on Sunday that French and US airstrikes destroyed an Islamic State site in Al Qaim, Iraq. This site was used by the insurgents to build large quantities of bombs and vehicles for suicide attacks. French and the US had to carry out two separate strikes on the large area.
