(VOVworld) – The Islamic State (IS) has claimed responsibility for a suicide bombing on Sunday in Aden city, Yemen.

In a statement, IS said the attack was made by a member named Abu Hashem Al Radfani. Yemen military officials said a suicide bomber set off an explosive device in a crowd of soldiers who had gathered to get their salary outside a military base in Aden.

The explosion killed 49 people and injured at least 10 others.
