Islamic Coalition vows to fight terrorism
(VOVWORLD) -Top defense officials from 40 Muslim-majority nations called the Islamic Military Counter-Terrorism Coalition held their first meeting in Riyadh on Sunday, just days after an attack on an Egyptian mosque that killed more than 300 worshippers.

At the meeting, Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said that over the years, terrorism has struck in every Islamic countries, and the Islamic military coalition was formed to end extremism. The group will allow members to request or offer assistance to each other in this fight, including military help, financial aid, equipment, or security expertise. The group, which will have a permanent base in Riyadh, will also cooperate to combat terrorist financing and ideology.
