(VOVworld) – Israel began an “unlimited ceasefire” in Gaza on Monday after 21 days of fierce clashes and mounting world pressure to halt hostile acts between Israel and Hamas there. According to an Israeli official, the new policy means Israeli troops will stop their deliberate attacks in Gaza and will retaliate only when Gaza militants open fire first. Although the Israeli Prime Minister's Office hasn’t given any comments on the information, local media reported that the Israeli military is likely to suspend ground and air fire. But Israel will continue to destroy Hamas' cross-border tunnels.
