(VOVworld) - The Israeli Air Force launched air strikes on the Gaza Strip early Wednesday morning, hours after a rocket attack on southern Israel.

Israel’s military struck four terrorist infrastructures in southern Gaza in response to the rocket attack. Witnesses said the planes targeted training camps belonging to the Islamic Jihad in Rafah, Khan Yunis and Gaza City. No injuries were reported. Military spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Peter Lerner said the fact that Hamas’s territory was used as a staging ground to attack Israel is unacceptable and intolerable and will bear consequences.
