(VOVworld) - Israeli warplanes launched two airstrikes against a number of military bases in the South, Centre and North of the Gaza Strip on Saturday just hours after a rocket struck Israel from Gaza.

The airstrikes generated big explosions and destroyed surrounding houses. According to security sources, the attacks also aimed at a training center for Muslim militants in Rafah town, South of Gaza and other sites which were earlier used to launch rockets into Israel. The airstrikes took place when Israel and Palestine relations worsened after 3 Israeli students went missing in the West Bank on Thursday night. The Muslim extremist group Dawlat al-Islam claimed responsibility for this kidnapping saying that this was in retaliation for Israel’s killing of 3 of its members in the West Bank last month.
