(VOVWORLD) - Israel said Sunday that the discussions in Paris involving top US, Qatari, Egyptian, and Israeli officials on a ceasefire in Gaza have adjourned, delivering "constructive" results.

The meeting was constructive, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office said in a statement, noting that "significant gaps" remain and will be further discussed this week.
The aim is to reach a deal to end the conflict between Israel and Hamas.
Earlier, US negotiators said progress was made in discussions on a potential agreement which would entail Israel suspending military operations against Hamas in the Gaza Strip for two months in exchange for the release of more than 100 hostages.
