Israeli defense minister says troops have reached “the heart of Gaza City”
(VOVWORLD) - Israeli ground forces are "in the heart of Gaza City", Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said Tuesday. Mr. Gallant said the conflict "cannot be stopped" until Gaza's Hamas movement is "eliminated."

Meanwhile, countries around the world continue to call for a humanitarian ceasefire. More than 10,000 Palestinian people have been killed in Gaza since the Hamas-Israel conflict broke out.
Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador condemned the deaths of civilians, and urged an immediate ceasefire. He said the Mexican Government always supports a peaceful solution through a comprehensive ceasefire.
President of the Cambodian People's Party Hun Sen took to his Telegram channel to call for a ceasefire, saying that otherwise “Gaza will become the world's large massacre site.”
