Israeli policies could ruin peace negotiations
(VOVworld) - Saudi Foreign Minister Saud al-Faisal warned this week that Israel's policies on Jerusalem and settlements could lead to a breakdown in peace talks with the Palestinians.

The state-run Saudi Press Agency quoted Faisal as saying that the success of the negotiations "depends on Israel's agreement to the principles of peace”. He added that the continuation of Israel's unilateral policies, provocation in Jerusalem and settlements raises doubts about the possibility of completing the negotiations within 9 months. Israel and Palestine still have to deal with conflicting opinions about some core issues. The construction of Jewish settlements on Palestinian occupied land will be a major obstacle. Palestinians say there will be no peace deal until Israel halts these settlements.
