(VOVworld) – Six people have been arrested in the northern Italian region of Lombardy and Piedmont on suspicion of being affiliated with international terrorist organizations.

Italian police said on Thursday that all the detainees are Moroccan. The operation, coordinated by the district attorney of Milan and Italy's national anti-mafia and anti-terrorism prosecutor, was carried out in several locations in Lombardy and Piedmont.
