Italy’s temporary government announced that the Italian general election will be held on February 24 and 25 next year. The announcement came after Italian President Giorgio Napolitano dissolved the Parliament amid rumors that acting Prime Minister Mario Monti might run in the coming election. On Sunday, Monti said he does not exclude the possibility of running election as Prime Minister. Monti said he will not support any political party, but he is ready to support the future government for the interests all Italians. Monti called for a political alliance, which he insisted it is necessary for continuing reforms.
