The scholarships are meant for Vietnamese officials aged 24-39 who have been working for State agencies for at least two years.
A JICA representative said JDS, financed by the Japanese government’s non-refundable aid, aims to strengthen the relationship with Vietnam by supporting the Vietnamese government’s human resource development.
In 2017-2018, 30 promising young leaders will be funded by the program to pursue two-year Master’s degrees at Japanese universities.
