Japan's Defense Minister Gen Nakatani spoke to reporters following a visit to a military base in Aomori Prefecture on Sunday to attend a ceremony sending soldiers off on an anti-piracy mission in Africa and Somalia.
In recent days, Japan has repeatedly warned China to refrain from its unacceptable acts in the East Sea. Last week Nakatani demanded that China be transparent and explain its 7.6% increase in military spending in 2016, largely for naval and air forces.
