Japanese media evaluates opportunities and challenges facing Vietnam in its ASEAN Chairmanship Year
(VOVWORLD) - Sakai newspaper in Kansai, Japan, has shown its trust in Vietnam’s success in its ASEAN Chairmanship in 2020.

The newspaper considered widespread impacts of Covid-19, protectionism and competition between powerhouses as challenges during the ASEAN Chairmanship Year.
However, the newspaper cited Vietnam’s experience in ASEAN Chairmanship Year 2010 and successful East Asia Summit organization while asserting Vietnam’s success in its ASEAN foreign policy during its Chairmanship Year.
