Japanese prime minister arrives in Sri Lanka for visit
(VOVworld) – Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe arrived in Sri Lanka on Sunday to promote bilateral trade cooperation.

During his visit Abe will meet with President Mahinda Rajapaksa to discuss political and economic relations as well as maritime cooperation in the region. Mr. Abe recently concluded a visit to Bangladesh. This trip is part of an effort to boost Japan’s trade cooperation with nations in the Central Asia. Abe is the first Japanese Prime Minister to visit Sri Lanka in 24 years.
