The survey kicked off last February and was completed in September this year on railway routes in Hanoi and HCMC, which will be built by Japan’s ODA.

Japanese experts have taken into consideration of the amount of greenhouse gas emission of the three rail routes, which will be foundations to encourage people to use low emissions transport in major cities.

The new urban railway system to be developed in Hanoi and HCMC will contribute to reducing 9% of greenhouse gas emissions by 2030.
