The winners were chosen from 1000 works in 5 categories: printed newspapers, online newspapers, radio, television, and photos. These works reflect many aspects of life but focus on the theme of building and strengthening great national unity.  
At the ceremony, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Tran Thanh Man, praised the press’s contribution to the cause of great national solidarity of all social strata, ethnic groups, religions, and overseas Vietnamese. The press does a great job, he said, reflecting the unity of society in combating the COVID-19 epidemic and helping people in areas affected by natural disasters. 
The awards hosted by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee honored 81 works, with one grand prize, 5A prizes, 14 B prizes, 29 C prizes, and 32 consolation prizes this year.  VOV won 12 awards.
