(VOVWORLD) -“The Kawai 2024 Startup” contest was officially launched on Thursday in Hanoi by the Tomorrow Entrepreneurs Club of the Foreign Trade University.

It is a business idea contest held annually since 2006, sponsored by Japan’s Kawai scholarship foundation and the Japanese embassy in Vietnam.
The contest includes three rounds. In the first round, from March 1 to April 7, entries will be submitted and the top 30 projects will be chosen. In the second round, from May 4 to June 20, products will be verified and the top 10 projects will be announced. The final round will take place on July 6.
The winner will receive 400,000 Japanese yen, the first runner-up will get 300,000 yen, and the 2nd runner-up will receive 200,000 yen.
For 18 years “The Kawai Startup” contest has been a magnet for young entrepreneurs. More than 22,000 students with more than 2,200 startup projects have participated in the competition. Many projects have been implemented, benefiting the economy and the society.
